–“Kicking off with the radio edit, the ep features remixes from hot new dubstep / jazz breaks DJ Aaron Jerome, who has gained critical acclaim for his debut album ‘Time To Rearrange’ (Aaron’s recent remixes include Gotan Project, Future Loop Foundation, Roy Davis Jnr and Little Dragon), and dubstep remixer Trenchman, who came to prominence with his remix of Lil Wayne ‘A Milli’. The ep also boasts mixes by Bristol’s Dr Meaker, a well known face on the drum and bass scene”. Finally there is the Billy Buttons mix, a more subtle rearrangement of the vocals and atmospherics by William Orbit“. Press release from Kobalt Digital

I’ve been doing a bit of research into your mystery background image. One possibility might be: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_gurnard.
WO
Thanks, Mark. Finally, the answer.
The Flying Gurnard.
Dactylopterus Volitans.
Remarkable for its very large pectoral fins.
When spread, they have the form of large rounded fanlike wings.

I think the lights on the CD cover are blurred lights from your mixer.

In answer to your question, what do you think that this image is? er..It’s a certain Mr. Wainwright’s toes with a bicycle red lamp on top. The camera must have been on the floor in front…

Billy Buttons…a daisy native to Australia or another pseudonym?
Great to have you back remixing William!
WO
I just looked it up and you’re right. I never knew. Its botanical name is ‘Helipterum Craspedioides’.
It is a wildflower native to Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania.

Here below are the kind of buttons I have been pushing recently:
woops! a bit too loud
That explains why a few people have told me that there’s been people driven a bit mad by the button pushing in the office.
I will adjust ALL the audio levels on teh blog when I get a spare moment.

Saturday Feb 21 – today has all the hallmarks of Spring (in England). But I found out something interesting about daffodils. Cats are allergic to them!
‘Daffodil toxicosis in an adult cat’.
(Dr. Sharon Saxon-Buri, Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada)
A domestic longhair cat with a 3-day history of lethargy and vomiting after ingesting dried daffodil stems (Narcissus spp.) was severely hypothermic (33.0°C), with bradycardia (78 beats/min) and hypotension. Treatment with atropine, dexamethasone, fluid therapy, and supportive care resulted in a complete recovery by 6 days after exposure.
This one is just fine and dandy though:
pics (by Laurie) of Orangey, one of her many cats, in her garden in California
It looks like I’m strangling him here but usually it is he that is strangling me, clawing me and generally demanding attention. When in the garden mainly. Fortunately there are no daffodils there.
